BENEFICE OUTINGS Benefice Visit to St Cross, Winchester - Tuesday 25th June:   Leave the Abbey Meadow at 13.30. Guided tour of the Hospital by the Brothers, followed by afternoon tea. Evensong in the Norman chapel at 16.30 returning to Beaulieu by about 18.30.   Cost is £22.00. Cheques are payable to Beaulieu Abbey Church. COME AND SING! AT BEAULIEU ABBEY CHURCH Come and sing Haydn Missa Brevis (Little Organ Mass) in a liturgical setting for the Eucharist on Corpus Christi Thursday 20thJune, 7.00pm. Optional rehearsals on Sat 15th June, 10.00am & Thursday 20th June, 5.30pm. In association with RSCM. Open to all singers but please inform in advance to Philip Baxter 01590 676493.

MEN’S BREAKFAST The next Men’s Breakfast will be 8.30am at the Turfcutter’s Arms, East Boldre on Saturday 6th July. 

SEA SUNDAY The Sea Sunday Service will be held on Sunday 14th July at Buckler’s Hard alongside the river, commencing at 6.00pm. Canon Andrew Wright, Gen Sec for the Mission to Seafarers will be giving the Sermon. All are welcome. There will be no Evensong in the Abbey Church on this day.

MUSICAL GALA Sat July 13th, Beaulieu Abbey Church; Please help to make this evening a great success! The BBC’s Sally Taylor will compère the evening of entertainment from hugely talented local musicians. Seats are limited (priced at £20.00) and already are selling well. This is a major Fund Raising event for Beaulieu Abbey Church, and deserves our support. Please pick up an invitation form from the back of the Abbey Church or from Peter Melhuish. Raffle Prizes. We hope to raise a great deal of money from the Raffle at the Musical Gala. There will be three prizes; hampers of (i) Quality wines, (ii) Quality Foods and (iii) Quality cosmetics and ‘smellies;. If you are able to contribute any item, we will soon have boxes for collection. It may be easier to make financial donations. Cheques payable to Beaulieu Abbey Church PCC in an envelope headed ‘Musical Gala Raffle’ and either given to Peter Melhuish or posted to the Office, Beaulieu Abbey Church, Palace Lane, Beaulieu SO427YG will do the trick. BEAULIEU VILLAGE FETE Sat July 20th; less than 5 weeks to go! Raffle tickets for the Fete Grand Draw are available now!. Do please take some (£1.00 per ticket) and try to persuade family, neighbours and friends both to buy, AND to come to the Fete. Prizes are always spectacular! Also, please remember to bring bottles, handbags, any unwanted jewellery, jigsaw puzzles, bric-a-brac etc. See me for the best person to receive the goodies! The Abbey Church receives 50% of the Nett Profit from the Fete, so we really ought to work hard to ensure that it is the success it usually is! PM
