STAYING SAFE IN CHURCH
May I request a small change in behaviour? After being shown to a seat, please stay seated until asked to move. This applies both to going forward to receive communion, and also to leaving the Church. Why? We are trying to avoid both 'face to face' meeting, and also bunching and becoming closer to another worshipper than two metres. Very many thanks for your co-operation. Peter J Melhuish, Warden, Beaulieu Abbey Church

** BENEFICE MAGAZINE **
The monthly magazine will resume for September. Please note, the cut off date for contributions is 12th August. Please send any articles to the Office email address.

SUPPORTING YOUR LOCAL FOODBANK FOLLOWING THE COVID PANDEMIC
The Foodbank have been busy supporting and continuing to support the local community during lockdown. They are running short of some items.
Jan Hayter, the Foodbank Co-ordinator says: “Donations can be delivered to the front door of the Foodbank in Blackfield on a Tuesday and Friday, between 10am – 12noon. Please knock on the door and stand back. You will not be able to enter the premises but someone will come to the door to receive your donation. Items required – tinned rice pudding, sponge puddings, 500g bags of sugar, shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, soap, small packets of washing powder/detergent – we are giving toiletries to every client at the moment. Thank you also to the kind parishioners that donated money during lockdown, it was gratefully received”. For more information contact the Foodbank on 07768 713329.

BEAULIEU VILLAGE FETE
Nick Hubbard writes, “The Fete Committee has carefully reviewed whether the 2020 fete, scheduled for mid-September, could proceed in the current circumstances. We have concluded that the logistics of arranging a socially-distanced event with adequate facilities, including toilets, makes this impracticable. Regrettably the fete is therefore cancelled for this year”.

NEW FOREST BASICS BANK
Based in Lymington, the New Forest Basics Bank is also in need of donations to help support families in need. Particular items required are tins of meat/meat balls/chicken in white sauce/Irish Stew/chicken and beef curry, Fairy Liquid, J clothes, Shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Items can be brought to the Basics Bank location - in the Cannon Street East car park in Lymington behind the Tesco store between the jobcentre and Jewson’s builders merchant, clearly marked on the entrance.
For more information they can be contacted on 01590 610008, or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Mon – Fri 10am – 2pm.

Director of Music
As you know, Philip was due to leave us at the end of July. With the uncertainties brought about by the Covid pandemic, Philip's arrangements to re-locate to Spain were curtailed, and he agreed to stay in post until the end of September.
Philip's final Sunday as our Director of Music will be Sunday 27th September. We shall be making a presentation to him during the 9.30am service.
If you would like to make a contribution towards a leaving gift for Philip, please place it in an envelope, clearly marked, and give it to one of our churchwardens, Adam Mills or Peter Melhuish. Thank you. Fr John
