PETER & ANNIE MELHUISH
Sunday 27th December was Peter's last Sunday as churchwarden. During the morning's service we presented Peter and Annie with a watercolour of the Abbey Church, painted by Carol Mileusnic, which highlights the cross on the north elevation which Annie and Peter kindly had made, replacing the decayed and dangerous one. A cheque was also presented to them. In the service we prayed for them, giving thanks for their friendship, and for the enormous contribution that they have both made to our church life. Among many other things, we shall miss their warmth and humour, positivity, and sense of perspective. We wish them well, and every blessing, as they prepare to re-locate to New Zealand. Fr John

Reminder: Covid precautions for Abbey Church
The kitchen is CLOSED for everything, if you need a drink bring it with you. The single lavatory is open only for emergencies. The disabled toilet will only be opened by a steward. The Hall may NOT be used unless booked via the office. These rules are in place to keep EVERYONE safe.

Air flow during services
Following Government recommendations, it is essential that there is an effective flow of air through our churches during services. This is more acceptable when the weather is warm, but less so on colder Sundays! Please wear more or fewer layers as appropriate. FJ.
