Urgent reminder: Covid precautions for Abbey Church
The kitchen is CLOSED for everything, if you need a drink bring it with you. The single lavatory is open only for emergencies. The disabled toilet will only be opened by a steward. The Hall may NOT be used unless booked via the office. These rules are in place to keep EVERYONE safe.
Air flow during services
Following best practice and Government recommendations, it is essential that there is an effective flow of air through our churches during services. This is more acceptable when the weather is warm, but less so on colder Sundays! Please wear more or fewer layers as appropriate. FJ.

The Abbey Church is open to the visitors from the Museum 7 days a week in the afternoons. On some occasions over 100 visitors have been in to see our beautiful and historic church. Thank you also for the various financial donations received from individuals. Donations of money are being put into the Harvest Egg Fund which will enable the Foodbank to provide fresh eggs with every Emergency Food Box, something it’s been wanting to do for almost a year. So thank you. During COVID the foodbank has been doing doorstep deliveries to referred clients and providing extra food in these difficult times. Since March the foodbank has seen a 20% increase in demand and has distributed over 17 tonnes of food. Last week alone 559.60 kg was distributed by way of 25 EFB’s to 41 adults and 32 children.”
