ST PAUL’S DAY. We celebrate our Patronal Festival at St Paul’s, East Boldre on TODAY.  This will be a Communion Service where the preacher will be Revd Iain Morrison. This will be followed by soup, cheese, dessert and wine; all free! everyone welcome.

YELLOW WEEKLY GIVING  ENVELOPES. There are some boxes available containing an envelope for each week of the year. You may wish to give in this way. If you are unable to come sometimes, simply hold on to the envelopes containing your collection and bring them when you are able.   The Church Finance Team request that donors  fill in the details on the standard yellow envelopes so the Church can accurately claim the 25% from HMRC. Also, please can any regular givers using the weekly boxed sets of envelopes simply add their name on each one.  Further details from Mike Dawkins.

KNITTING FOR SEAFARERS – WOOL NEEDED. In October and December 278 items were transported to the Mission to Seafarers. For our Benefice knitters to continue with this cause they need wool. If anyone has any double knitting wool please pass this to Ruth Crouch or leave in the Benefice Office for Ruth to collect. Alternatively, if you would like to donate money for Ruth to purchase wool, this would be much appreciated. If you knit or crochet and wish to help, please see Ruth who can give you the patterns. 

JOAN’S 90th BIRTHDAY AND RETIREMENT.  Dear Fr John, Would you please pass on to all concerned our appreciation and thanks for making the occasion so memorable and for the splendid certificate and floral arrangement for Joan and totally unexpected Bombay Sapphire for me. We are grateful for all the good wishes and we have not intentionally missed speaking to anyone, if we have we are sorry.   All our Best Wishes,   John & Joan

PARISH ADMINISTRATOR. Mrs Margaret Marshall retires from this post at the end of January. There will be a presentation to her at the Abbey Church on Sunday 2ndFebruary. Miss Elizabeth Field, who has been working alongside Margaret for some time, will formally take the position from 1stFebruary.   FJ

ST KATHARINE’S  PCC  MEETING. St Katharine’s Church, Exbury will be holding their PCC meeting on Friday 31st January in the Church, starting at 2.00pm.

**WEDNESDAYS  IN LENT 11am**. Wednesday 26 February, 10.30am ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE,  Holy Communion  with ashing in the Chancel Please note: All Wednesdays in Lent (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th March, & 1st April) are 11am, not 10.30am. Followed by Lent Lunch in the Church Hall.

RECYCLE YOUR USED STAMPS. Don’t forget to save used postage stamps? There is a box in the corridor between the Hall and the Abbey Church where the stamps can be deposited. These will be collected by Ruth Crouch and sent to The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. It would be much appreciated if all stamps being donated could be trimmed with enough paper around themfor the stamps to be complete and not damaged. Thank you for the continued support of this outreach project throughout the year. 

PLEASE NOTE. Annie and Peter Melhuish will be absent overseas between 14thJanuary and 10th March. All communication regarding day to day business of the Abbey Church which would normally have been directed to Peter should go either to the other Church Warden, Adam Mills, or to the Office.
