BENEFICE BBQ  What a delightful evening it proved to be. Thank you for coming and for your good  company! Particularly grateful to Peter and the gazebo erectors, to Rob, and to Jan Hoy as co-ordinator of ‘the team’. Also thanks to those who helped us clear away at the end of the evening; it was a great team effort which enabled us all to be away and in bed nice and early...!! Wesley enjoyed finding several scraps the next day.  There will be pictures of the evening posted on the Benefice Website.   F John

MUSIC AT BEAULIEU, Sat 17th August, Tickets £15,  FB Pocket Orchestra (Jazz) Blues, Ragtime, Hot Jazz, Songs and Dances from long ago.

BEAULIEU VILLAGE FETE RESULT Provisional figures now indicate that the nett takings from the Fete this year were in the region of £13,500. This is an excellent result, as uncertain weather was reflected in a reduction of the number of people paying for entry. Each and every stallholder and helper is to be congratulated.  PM

POST 9.30am SERVICE REFRESHMENTS, ABBEY CHURCH HALL  These are now very well attended and offer us the opportunity to chat and catch up. I am most grateful to those individuals who prepare the drinks and biscuits. There are a few vacancies on the rota. Please speak to Liz Wigfield if you would like to help. Many thanks from an appreciative Father John.

PARKING AT THE ABBEY CHURCH. Please may I ask you to observe some general principles. During Service times, please continue to park on the Church Meadow, cars facing the church.  There are clearly allocated spaces for disabled parking – please observe these signs. Outside Service times, if you are wanting to access the Church, please park in the lower gravelled car park and walk up, however, if you are less mobile, and space permits, please use the Hall car park. Thank you for your co-operation.  F John

CAR SHARING. Please do continue to consider (if happy to do so) offering each-other a lift to Church Services and events, as this reduces the number of vehicles on our roads, and provides an opportunity to get to know each other better. Offering this ‘gift’ to those who are not able to drive for whatever reason is really appreciated.
