Thank you for making the Christmas Festivities so memorable. I am grateful to our benefice church wardens, administrative team, musicians, flower arrangers, readers, sidespeople and all who took on additional tasks over the festivities.
Thank you also for your cards and gifts to me – and “Wesley”. May 2019 be happy and fulfilling for you and yours.

BEAULIEU VILLAGE SCHOOL

I am exploring the possibilities of getting together a group of volunteers to help decorate a classroom. If you would be interested in this project please speak to me.   FJ

RECYCLE YOUR USED STAMPS

Have you saved the stamps over Christmas? There is a box in the corridor between the Hall and the Church where used stamps can be deposited. These will be collected by Ruth Crouch and sent to The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. Please can all stamps being donated be trimmed clear of the perforations.

ADVANCE NOTICE

On Wednesday 30th January 2019, the Holy Communion Service usually in the Abbey Church will be relocated to St Katharine’s, Exbury for 10.30am. This is due to the Abbey Church being closed all day for urgent tree work to be safely carried out.   SB/FJ

CHRISTMAS FLOWERS

Many thanks to Jo, Laura, Ginna, Davina and Sally who decorated the Abbey Church so colourfully.  FJ 

MEN’S BREAKFAST

The next Men’s Breakfast will be on Saturday 5th January 2019, 8.30am at The Turfcutter’s Arms, East Boldre. The speaker will be John Pockett giving a talk on the Honeypot Children’s Charity.

WINCHESTER CATHEDRAL PASSES

We now have some passes available for members of our congregations who wish to visit Winchester Cathedral with their friends free of charge. They are available from the office and we will record the names of the people who use them as they must be returned promptly for further use.

**ORGAN RECTIALS 2019  STARTING 7th February**

There will be a number of lunchtime organ recitals at the Abbey Church in February and March. 1.00 – 1.45pm,

Thurs 7th February - Ian Harrison, Thurs 14th February - Andrew Elliott  Thurs  21st February – Duncan Bradley – a former organist at the Abbey Church. Soup and roll will be served at the start. The retiring collection at these recitals will be going to the Abbey Church funds. Further details for the March recitals to follow.

NEW FACILITY

We have introduced the facility of donating to the Abbey Church by Text Message. Instruction slips are available by the welcome desk. There is now a "Donate" option on the home page of the web-site, enabling on-line donations to be made to our churches.   FJ

Congratulations to Russell and Katie, over from Australia to renew their marriage vows, 25 years after they were married here in the Abbey Church.
