Please note: Monday is Father John's rest day.
Urgent enquiries on this day should be directed to the Benefice Office 01590 612242, where a message may be left.
Peter Melhuish and Lindy Shanks are pleased to keep our site up to date and interesting. It is an excellent resource and means of publicity and communication. Pleased send them any material, including pictures and information pertaining to any Benefice activities. FJ
** GDPR – General Data Protection Regulations
The new GDPR regulations come into force on 25th May 2108.
Beyond that date no-one in the Benefice may hold data relating to anyone in any of the churches without their permission.
It is vital, therefore, that you complete the appropriate form for your church and hand them into the office to be held on a Benefice Database. This is everyone on one of the Electoral Rolls, flower lists, sidesmen, readers, choir, brass cleaning, wedding couples, baptisms, any sub-committees of the PCCs or any other list of people held at the moment. You only need to fill in one form, not one for every list that you are on. Please do so without delay!
The next Men’s Breakfast is on Saturday 5th May and the one after that will be Saturday 7th July at the Turfcutter’s Arms.
PARKING OUTSIDE THE CHURCH HALL
As you know parking spaces outside the Abbey Church Hall are limited – 8 vehicles at a squeeze. Blue Badge holders will always have priority. FJ
DAY TRIP TO WELLS
If you would appreciate a visit, or know of someone who would, please let Fr John or Jane Barnicoat have a name, address and telephone number so we can arrange it. FJ
I am keeping a diary of names of our departed loved ones and the dates on which they died so that they can be remembered during our services. If you wish to include the name of a loved one, pass the name on to Elizabeth in the church office on Mondays or Tuesdays. FJ
