Soup, Sweet and Sonnets

Beaulieu Abbey Church Hall Wednesday 8th November
Lunch at 1pm Come and have a light lunch at 1pm, bowl of soup and crusty bread followed by a dessert.
Then we will listen to the favourite poems you have brought with you to read, preferably light-hearted and even funny.
Tickets £6 from Margaret Marshall, in the office on Thursdays, after church on Sundays, or by phone 02380 892469.  Please do not come before 12.30pm

I am most grateful to those of you who spend time welcoming visitors This has proved valuable and is much appreciated. Reading the Visitors’ Book, it is quite clear how much the opportunity to explore, pray and sit quietly is valued. Part time Position

Monday 20th November 3pm for the Honourable Caroline Cecily Montagu Weston. Caroline's son, Galvin Weston, has asked me to announce that members of the congregation are invited to attend at the Abbey Church. FJ

Waterside Night Shelter

A small group met with Jan Hayter, one of the organisers of the Waterside Night Shelter. This is a Waterside Churches Together Project and is due to open on 1st December. The shelter will be based in a number of the Waterside Churches and will provide up to 6 beds for the homeless throughout the winter. The Project Team need volunteers to help in a number of different ways.   Interested ??  Please talk to Father John.  Fuller details on the BAC website.

Saturday 2nd December "ADVENT PROCESSION

This year we shall be making a trip to Winchester Cathedral for this service of readings and music for the season of Advent.   Our coach will leave the Abbey Meadow at 1430, so there will be time to visit the Christmas market before the service, which starts at 1830.
