***SEA SUNDAY  9th July*** 

Thank you all for supporting the service at Bucklers Hard. There was a large number of people and the collection for the Mission to Seafarers amounted to the splendid sum of £591.10. 


Our Benefice Visiting Group have now completed their training and safeguarding and will begin visiting in July. They will do so with my authority and will be carrying photo and card identification.  If you would appreciate a visit, or know of someone who would, please let me have a name, address and telephone number so that I can arrange it.         FJ                       

next men’s breakfasts

The next 2 Men’s Breakfasts at the Turfcutter’s Arms will be Saturday 2nd September and Saturday 4th November, both at 8.30am. On 2nd September the guest will be Peter Burch, para-athlete. Please tell Fr John if you will be there.

Welcome drink, chicken sausage, various salads, strawberries, meringues, shortbread, cheese and biscuits

6.30pm  13th August with the Beaulieu Band and the Abbey choir leading the singing. It will be led by Hugh Ashley, formerly of BBC Radio Solent.

8 Choral Scholars and Organ Scholar from King’s College, Cambridge.  Early music, Tallis, Byrd, Poulenc , then moving on to light, traditional music

and finally modern music arranged in close harmony and also organ solos.

The Exbury Village Fete will take place at the Exbury Club on Saturday 5th August from 12noon.

As usual St Katharine’s will be there with the church stalls, so please visit us to show your support. There will be raffle tickets on sale for various prizes, also garden plants, preserves, good quality bric-a-brac, antiques and books. Of course there will be the ever popular bottle stall.
