SUMMARY OF THE ANNUAL VESTRY AND PAROCHIAL MEETINGS AT BEAULIEU ABBEY CHURCH Held 22nd March 2019

Annual Vestry Meeting:

Elected Church Wardens Peter Melhuish and Adam Mills

Annual Parochial Church Meeting:

Father John gave his report as Chairman.

Electoral Roll renewed this year: 127 members. Of those 36 are resident (28%0 and 91 non resident (72%)

The PCC for 2019-20 was elected, the list of names will be on the church notice boards at Beaulieu Abbey Church and Bucklers Hard, and the current group of sidespersons were re-elected for the coming year.

Finances were discussed, the accounts having been available toview in the church previously.

Secretary reported the year`s proceedings of the PCC and figures for baptisms, weddings and funerals performed at Beauilieu Abbey Church and Bucklers Hard chapel. Summaries of each PCC meeting are placed on the notice boards and submitted for publication in the Parish News and on the church website.

Deanery Synod meetings are reported here and at each PCC meeting.

Our Benefice Mission Action Plan is established, with core values and aims in place. 

Fabric and grounds: A full report was given of works last year and matters for the PCC to consider this coming year, which will include return of the Triptych, creation of Memorial Window for Edward Lord Montagu and consideration and discussion with the congregation regarding possible removal of some pews in the Abbey Church.

Other reports: Church Wardens`, Social committee, Flower team, Music, Safeguarding, Welcomers, Playgroup 

Meeting concluded with heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Sally Brearley who stood down after six years as Churchwarden. A presentation of a painting and flowers was made to her as a mark of our thanks.

The Treasurer and Secretary to be re-elected: Andrew Percy and Carol Mileusnic. Committees and full list of PCC members to be posted on all church noticeboards.
