PCC Meeting held on 21st February 2017
Summary of Beaulieu PCC Meeting held 21.2.17
In addition to usual committee matters the following were discussed:
Votive candles and prayer cards now in the church. To be placed in different positions to see how works best.
Church office & Vestry – the move is complete, creating good working office space.
Christmas collections – raised over £300 for Crisis, £860 each for Womens Refuge & MSF.
- Churchwardens/Fabric Reports covered these main topics:
Vestments – now returned to Sacristry; thanks to Sue Nicholas for taking care of these important items
Stewarding – more help is needed please, in pairs, to welcome visitors and ensure the church is accessible
Statement of Significance – updated for 2017 & approved by PCC
Quinquennial Report – reviewing, for priorities this year.
“English Churches Sustainability Review” – completed; our church is a well used, living church
Charles Sykes triptych – in store; discussion ongoing
Pews – the PCC agreed to the sale of two pews at the back of the church to allow space for enhanced bookstall.
Church hall and toilet – Spring Clean volunteers needed. Disabled toilet lock now replaced with one more suitable.

- P Map: Wednesday morning coffee continues; Benefice day out on 30.5.17; Mens Breakfast, see other advertising for both these events; contact with Uganda church.
- Safeguarding: policy to be put in place, with training, to comply with C of E guidelines.
Fr John urged support for combined services on the fifth Sunday in the month.
The APCM is Friday 21st April 2017 at 7pm.
