Minutes of the PCC Meetings

27th May 2014

Summary of Beaulieu PCC Meeting held 27.5.14

In addition to usual committee matters the following were discussed:

Deanery Synod Report:

Deanery Mission Action Planning document completed and submitted by the reps. A Statement of parish practices and the way we hope to move ahead, to be prepared to follow this, by mid June, as requested, before the Lyndhurst Deanery meeting on 16.6.14 in Dibden Purlieu, to be attended by reps and some PCC members.

Fabric Reports covered these main topics:

Heating – total raised to date £73,000 with @£6000 expected due from Gift Aid

East Door – refused permission to use oak doors purchased to replace existing outer doors. No further action regarding the doors at this time.

Benefice office – the rectory will be rented out once Ryc has left, so the office will relocate, potentially into main church building. To be looked into and advise as soon as possible.

Lighting needs attention/bulbs to be replaced; church will close for a day or two at some point soon as scaffolding required.

Weds services – team formed to help the celebrant; regular attendees to be asked to help to provide a welcome to this service.

Health & Safety – signs now in place at East door and Cloister entrance welcoming and warning of uneven surfaces.

The Church wardens and PCC will be busy during the period of the Interregnum; all help and involvement will be appreciated.

The six benefice church wardens are to meet the archdeacon on 4.6.14

There will be a joint PCC meeting with the archdeacon on 2.7.14

There is an urgent need for someone to volunteer to edit the Parish News. If you would be interested in helping please contact the church wardens or the Rectory office.
