 Karen Pitt Sextet

Karen Pitt has for many years been the female vocalist with Swing Unlimited Band as well as a player in the saxophone section. Her sextet showcases many of the top professional musicians from the big band including the two principal MDs, James Stead and Patrick Peiro.

Followers of Swing Unlimited Big Band will know James as the brilliant keyboard player and arranger of so many of their greatest numbers and Patrick’s trumpet skills and wit as frontman have helped make SUBB such a success over the years.

Add in one of the finest saxophone players in the South, plus a great drummer, guitarist and bass player, top it off with Karen’s remarkable vocal skills and you have the sextet, a mini-version of the big band and able to play a wide variety of great classics from Ella Fitzgerald to Amy Winehouse and Stevie Wonder with a variety of cool jazz thrown in.
